Great Location and Great Food

Visited the Eldorado for a conference on site and have been very impressed with the facility, the staff and the quality of the food. No rubber chicken here. Most of the meals have been in the southwest tradition and prepared well and served well.
The prices for non-conference rooms are pretty steep, so this might not be my choice if coming here outside of a conference event. They've given us a great price for the rooms for the conference however.
One problem is that the temperature controls in the room don't seem to have much effect. We like cool temperatures for sleeping, but the thermostat appears to be unresponsive below about 68 degrees. Fortunately, the windows open, so the cool Santa Fe nights help make the temperature more comfortable.
The location of the hotel is ideal for walking around the city.

Excellent Business Stay

The Eldorado Hotel is a very updated and excellent hotel. Check in process was very easy, they have a parking garage for your car and room service was very good. All around, I was very satisfied with my stay. Wifi in the room worked very well.
My only criticism was that the business center was not working. I tried both computers and could not login. The staff tried to help me, but there wasn't much they could do. At any hotel, it is tough to rely on a business center and was able to meet my needs elsewhere. The staff were very friendly and helpful and did offer to print out something if possible.

Excellent Hotel in Centre of Santa Fe

The hotel is close to the National Plaza of Santa Fe in an area with many restaurants. It is also only 10 minutes walk from the railway station and has regular shuttle buses dropping off and picking up from the Albuquerque airport.
The hotel has a doorman and a 24hr reception. The hotel is decorated with many art works from local artists that made it very interesting to look around. There is also a range of spa treatments available on the ground floor and a large piano bar with large comfortable chairs. There is also a carpark on the lower floors for guests and visitors.
The room was large and well furnished with a large number of power sockets around the room for laptops and even a custom USB charger for phones and tablets. There was a fridge, ironing board, electric iron, coffee maker and alarm clock. The bathroom had a shower and hairdryer with a wide selection of supplied toiletries. The decor was simple but of high quality and the bed very large and comfortable.
The catering included a restaurant "The Old House Restaurant" and a bar offering a range of snacks. I tried both and found them excellent. The restaurant was expensive but the local cuisine inspired menu was excellent. The bar menu was also good with a mixture of south western inspired dishes and more standard fare. The bar was cheaper than the restaurant but also very good.
The pool is on the roof with a good view over the city and accessed via the lift and then a short staircase. There is a small pool, a heated spa "air bubble" pool, various recliners and a small room with a supply of towels. I was there in September but there was still enough warmth and sun to make a swim and sunbath enjoyable.
