Skiing in Santa Fe
Ski Santa Fe’s trails are nestled high in the beautiful Sangre de Cristo Mountains, just 16 miles from the heart of historic Santa Fe. With a base area elevation of 10,350 feet, Ski Santa Fe is one of the highest ski areas in the continental United States. The new chairlift brings sport enthusiasts to a breathtaking height of 12,075 feet and some of the area’s finest skiing. Vistas atop Ski Santa Fe are thrilling and act as the gateway for challenging steep bump runs, powder filled chutes and gladed tree-skiing, each with a full coterie of groomers. There are 1,725 vertical feet of skiing and 67 runs winding through some of the most stunning mountain terrain in the country. Seven lifts transport 9,350 skiers per hour high over giant pines that are the background for this perfect powdered snow found in New Mexico’s ski country.
Complete services for all level of participants are offered. Ski Santa Fe is very family oriented, everyone mingling with those seeking true challenges on the mountain trails.
The grooming crew is one of the best in the southwest, their pride very evident in the groomed runs always in ideal shape with an average of 225 inches of snowfall per season kept in pristine condition. Their genuine concern about this mountain and its slopes is evident to the world’s visiting skiers enjoying the area's 660 acres of challenging winter pleasures.
Offices are open daily from 8:00am to 4:30pm. Early purchase of tickets and rentals is strongly recommended. Lift hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily.
